The Joe Bonamassa Lazarus 1959 Les Paul Standard pays tribute to one of Joe's rarer finds: a 1959 Les Paul Standard. The original instrument was meticulously restored from an unplayable state, armed with top-of-the-line components, and stripped of its candy apple red finish to reveal a stunning figured maple top. This loving re-creation includes all the period-correct details you'd expect, such as single-ply binding, pearloid trapezoid inlays, Tulip tuning keys, and nickel hardware, along with custom mods spec'd by Joe, including Gibson BurstBucker pickups, updated electronics with Mallory caps and CTS pots, and a Graph Tech nut. And, of course, the Joe Bonamassa Lazarus 1959 Les Paul Standard includes a AAAA flame maple veneer top that echoes the look of the stunning solidbody electric guitar that inspired it.
